The San Geronimo Valley Community Gym and Youth Center mailer was sent to inform community members of the new gym being built, what it would offer and to inspire donations for the project. An illustration by a local artist was used on the front to show what the new gym would look like. An energetic, handwriting font was used below the illustration to convey the feeling of excitement.
I used another illustration on the back along with a photograph of community members playing basketball to show the idea of people coming together to participate in community activities that the gym and youth center would offer. I created a logo, displayed in the bottom right corner, which includes a simplified version of the gym against the rolling hills of the valley.
Inside the handwriting font is used again for headlines, the basketball illustration is repeated screened in the background and blueprints of the gym are screened in the background as well in the bottom right corner.
