The Colors of Autumn

Autumn Fall Colorful Leaves
People complain about the rain, but if I had to pick a favorite season it would be autumn. I love the smells, the billowing clouds, the cool air and especially the colors. The explosion of reds, oranges, yellows and greens is breathtaking, and I feel like I want to photograph every tree I see! I don’t photograph every tree I see, but I did photograph some leaves I collected while chasing my kids around out front today.

In a great hall with pillars hewn out of the living stone sat the Elvenking on a chair of carven wood. On his head was a crown of berries and red leaves, for the autumn was come again. In the spring he wore a crown of woodland flowers. In his hand he held a carven staff of oak. ―J.R.R.Tolkien, The Hobbit, Barrels Out of Bond
